Non-Traditional Academic Calendar
NON-TRADITIONAL TERM STRUCTURE
The Nwamara Institute for Integrative Health & Research Development (NIIH) operates on a non-traditional, accelerated academic calendar using a quarterly system. This model is designed to provide both flexibility and structure, depending on the program format.
Online Programs (Flexible Entry):
Students may begin at any time and progress through coursework at their own pace. While the program is flexible, students are expected to manage their time effectively and remain consistent in their studies.
Hybrid Programs (Structured Schedule):
Hybrid programs follow a more structured format and align with the quarterly schedule outlined below.
QUARTERLY TERM STRUCTURE (13 WEEKS EACH)
First Quarter - Fall Term
September - November
Second Quarter - Winter Term
December - February
Third Quarter - Spring Term
March - May
Fourth Quarter - Summer Term
June - August
PROGRAM STRUCTURE & EXPECTATIONS
All programs follow an accelerated learning model. Course access is granted upon full enrollment, which includes completion of the application and fulfillment of financial requirements. Additional coursework is released in alignment with the student’s payment plan progression. Students are responsible for pacing their academic progress within each quarter, using the quarterly schedule as a general guide to support planning, consistency, and successful course completion.
